Xoxos unsaid

 On days I care enough,

I go down the rabbit hole which is your heart,

through the twisting labyrinth.

And if my perseverance is rewarded

I arrive, awed, at your chamber full of secrets.

It’s a palace of antiquity, 

a true paradox,timeless… 

fragile but as strong as its presence in my eyes. 

But when I’m asked what I think, when I’m asked how it makes me feel…

I confess today my sin 

…my words fail me and mostly all I can manage is a smile. 

I’m speechless …even to say, ‘with you, my life is an adventure’.

And so forgive me for the only task I fail at everytime. 

That is, reminding you how much I love you.
